More and more of us are getting allergies here in the United States. This might be happening because of our modern lifestyle. We are exposing ourselves to pollution and chemicals, stress, highly processed low-fiber diets, and an overuse of antibiotics. So before you head to the drugstore to medicate that runny nose, there are some simple ways you can help your body fight those pesky allergies.
The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey found that more than 20% of the population in the U.S. is affected by allergies.
The best place to start is to build your immune system. By managing stress, eating more nutrient-rich foods, less sugar, drinking water, getting sleep and exercising you will be off to a good start. Certain foods are known to spark allergic reactions; including soy, wheat, seafood, nuts, dairy, eggs, sugar, and highly-processed foods. Another great tip is to dust, vacuum and change your bedding more frequently.
And the easiest wellness tip to follow is to drink plenty of water. This wonderful tip doesn't apply to allergies, but to your overall health and wellness in general.
