Nestled within the dense Maine evergreen forest of pines the Dead River is fas flowing and offers any whitewater rafting enthusiast a wild ride. Featured in the “Instant Weekend Trips” section of the October 2009 Issue of National Geographic ADVENTURE Magazine, Magic Falls Rafting Company celebrates the last whitewater run of the season this weekend. As the fall foliage begins to burst into color in New England, the Dead River gives one last hoorah before the year is out on October 3, 2009. This is the absolutely last Dead River trip available in 2009 and it ends with the 18th Annual Pig Roast. Sixteen miles of Class III and IV whitewater, you’ll be rafting the longest-in-the-East whitewater. At only $89 per person, don’t be expecting a casual cruise to enjoy the scenery. Of course, the views will be breathtaking, but there are many hazards on this trip and you’ll want the full participation of your guide to steer through safely.
*If you’re a resident of Maine, you’ll receive a 10% discount on all regularly priced trips on the Kennebec and Dead rivers during the season with Magic Falls Rafting Company.
